Business
All for one…
Coaching is fast becoming the management method of choice in organisations around the world.
Coaches are catalysts for change. They are objective, impartial and importantly, non-judgemental in a work setting. They allow employees space to focus on moving ahead and on removing the barriers, whether mental or physical to personal and organisational development.
Organisations use external coaches for a number of reasons:
- to help employees gain focus on their roles and responsibilities
- to help employees realise the full potential of a role
- to give employees the opportunity to develop personally as part of their overall career development
- to help teams focus and unite in their approach to business
What to expect
A professional coach will have a recognised coaching qualification and should ideally be registered with a reputable coaching organisation such as the International Coaching Federation
You should also reasonably expect a business coach to have solid business experience and to understand the language and key issues facing growing businesses.
There is no typical coaching session or corporate coaching client. One coach can deal with individuals at all levels in an organisation because the work they do is tailored to the individual.
Coaches draw on a range of techniques to help clients to:
- Set and achieve personal and professional goals
- Identify and focus on important issues first
- Understand themselves better and raise awareness of their impact on others
- Find out what really drives them and what they really want from their personal and professional lives
- Tap into hidden skills
Sessions can take place face-to-face or over the phone. The frequency and duration of the sessions will depend on the level of support required.
Many people start with regular weekly sessions of an hour’s duration, reducing to fortnightly and monthly sessions once the individual feels comfortable ‘going it alone’.
Regular reviews are held during through the No Limits coaching process to ensure that clients are seeing the results they anticipated – and to make changes (to style, approach, frequency) as necessary.
